José María Sánchez García
Arquitectos es uno de los estudios de arquitectura española más reconocidos a
nivel internacional. Nace en 2006 y actualmente tiene sede en Madrid y en
Suiza, desarrollando proyectos públicos ganados en concursos de arquitectura.
El trabajo del estudio se centra principalmente en la arquitectura preexistente
y del patrimonio; y en proyectos con alto contenido paisajístico y territorial.
José María Sánchez García (1975)
se gradúa en la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid (ETSAM) en
2002, y en 2016 obtiene el título de Doctor Arquitecto por la ETSAM con la
tesis doctoral 'El Caso Bath’. En la actualidad, es Profesor Titular de
Proyectos Arquitectónicos en la Escuela de Arquitectura de Madrid y ha sido Profesor
Invitado en la Academia de Arquitectura de Mendrisio, en la Universidad ETH de
Zúrich y en la IUAV de Venecia.
El estudio ha sido galardonado
con premios de ámbito nacional e internacional, tales como el Primer Premio BSI
Swiss Architectural Award, Suiza; Primer Premio AR+D Architecture Review
Awards, Londres; Premio Architectural Record’s Design Vanguard, Nueva York;
Primer Premio Bienal Iberoamericana de Arquitectura y Urbanismo y Primer Premio
Bienal Española de Arquitectura y Urbanismo, Primer Premio de Arquitectura Enor
y mención de honor en el Premio de Arquitectura Española 2017, entre otros.
José María ha sido nombrado Miembro Honorífico del Royal Institute of British
Architects (RIBA) International Fellowship.
Los proyectos han sido publicados por numerosas
revistas nacionales e internacionales indexadas, como el Croquis, Arquitectura
Viva, Casabella, Architectural Review, a+u, Detail, Oris, Azure, On Diseño,
